There are many myths about enlarging color photographs. However, it is much simpler than you might think! For example, you don't need to work in complete darkness, nor do you need expensive processors. You can even enlarge color photographs at home in your bathroom.

​

This course is for those who already have experience with black and white darkroom work and would like to try enlarging from color negatives to color paper using the RA-4 process. Just like in other workshops, you will learn how to make contact prints and subsequent enlargements. The course includes an introduction to the color process, enlarger, filters, chemicals, and paper processing.

- What equipment is essential for developing color prints
- How to avoid enlarging in complete darkness
- How to handle color filtering
- How to manage contrast
- Which chemicals to use and how to handle temperatures
- How to achieve great results even in home conditions

 

All materials, including fresh Fuji paper and chemicals, are included in the price. Just bring your own developed 35mm or medium format film.

Participants are offered free parking directly in front of the lab.

Note: Previous experience with enlarging black and white photographs is recommended.
